Silica
Refractory Filters
Silica Refractory Filters are designed to extract
dross, slag, refractory particles, and non-metallic
inclusions from molten metals, both ferrous and
non-ferrous. These filters were developed as a low cost,
high efficiency alternative to cellular ceramic and
reticulated ceramic foam filtration systems. Our filters
are capable of withstanding pouring temperatures ranging
up to 3000 degrees F. (1620 C.). They are available in
several types such as steel casting, Iron/Bronze/Aluminum
casting, etc, and can be used for both Sand casting and
Investment casting.
